Teaching the blind to see….
Mr. Partho Bhowmik is a person who has tried to approach a sense of impossibility with his Blind With Camera” project. For him, photography has been inherently instinctive, his desire for depicting the obscurities of nature serving as his drive. Mr. Bhowmik has studied business management and information technology, and is working as a software professional in Mumbai. His weekends are reserved for the one activity that gives him immeasurable pleasure: photography.
Having started the “Blind with Camera” project, Partho teaches photography to the blind with undeterred passion and genuine interest, urging them to let their heart adapt to the vision and their senses appeal to its beauty. He devotes his time to blind photography with the sole purpose of empowering the blind and demystifying the polarity between blindness and visual expression. A self-learned photographer, Mr. Bhowmik has been driven and inspired by the philosophies behind every photograph and his exemplary photographs bear testimony to his desire to comprehend the visual world around us through unconventional paths.
